Hi y'all, so I went darker a little longer than I expected, work and travel have been insane! I really feel like right now I am running all day in whatever my Target heel of choice is for the day and just a zombie...thank the lord for coffee. Instead of being super deep for this entry I will give a little swim trend update courtesy of my recent trip to the Swim Collective show in Huntington Beach CA, if you are like me and addicted to swimwear you need to know one thing BRIGHT COLORS- people on the beach, at the waterpark and at the pool in 2013 arent wearing black no matter what size they are! Everything from one-pieces to bikinis, monokinis and mumus are bright colors, bright patterns and loud and proud.
Another thing to remember about your swimwear is that covering your rear end completely actually makes it look BIGGER! Shocking I know! So the women in the Brazil actually are onto something, showing more skin in your rear region actually makes you butt smaller (well looks smaller at least!) and take a cue from the 80's when wearing a one piece and let that leg rise! This gives the illusion of longer legs.
Now to get ready to show that booty? Download the Women's health workouts app on your iphone, gives you exact workout plans with your goal in mind, they are short and sweet but will do the job, I would also recommend cutting out the sugar and eating whole foods, thats my goal this week, NO CRAP and at least 4 days of lifting, 2 days of yoga, maybe I will trade a day of yoga for zumba? Guess we will see!
Until next time!
XOXO!

I smell like a french fry and want a shower
The things we do for beauty...since I am traveling to LaLa land here in about 36 hours I figured being a ghostly pale chick from Seattle wasnt necessarily the most attractive look, so $65 later I have 4 spray tans...good thing is I will be tan in the morning, bad thing is I smell like a McDonalds worker who has worked a double then gone out to the bar, gross, but tan is beautiful so I will deal with it. Funny though how in the middle ages having a tan made you poor, now having a tan means you are either well enough off to go on vacation to somewhere tropical or have a sad addiction to being tan (this would be my case). Oh and you may think that in LA I will get to have cocktails and lay by the pool...yes this is not the case, in fact I will be walking the LA Mart in heels...so fun, picking out styles in a smelly warehouse in Commerce California, which if you havent crossed over the beautiful LA river to visit, I recommend it, especially if you like being robbed.
On a much more positive note, I got to see my familia last night including my beloved sister and her little ladies man:) Such a cute little munchin!
As an FYI the blog may be dark for a few days, depends on wifi in the amazing Hampton Inn I will be staying at and if I have the energy to do anything buy shower!
Keep it classy...everyone?

Like sands through the hourglass...
*Cue the theme music* these are the days of our lives...well not ours I guess, mine, but that's why you are reading this!
As I stand in the kitchen of the house that was huge when we bought it and now is too big for me to clean, I think of the term "work life balance" which is something that is thrown around my office alot, because we don't have any, we wake up check email, get out of the shower, check our events, drive to work- check email, get to the office, work so long and so hard (yes I get that that sounds dirty) that we forget to go pee, get home, what do we do? WORK! Check email, audit, etc, even while traveling I live on a steady stream of coffee and Valium to stay alert and calm, but why? Because I/we LOVE THIS SHIT, I wouldn't change a damn thing, neither would us die hard peeps we are very simply crazy. So really those of us who bleed daily deals, our work life balance is work, work and drinking, but it became clear to me yesterday that everyone who has bled that blood, may not always. Granted being bat shit isn't for everyone I get that, but it still never makes a new balance easy (here comes the segway into a link!). Starting at 6am, get your New Balance :) with New Balance apparel on Zulily! http://www.zulily.com/e/new-balance-intimates-011513.html?pos=2
On a more positive note, I broke down and bought gold glittery smoking shoes today...what the H will I wear those with, who knows but for $9 at Target, yes I can figure it out.

My eyelashes are pissing me off today
That title is a text I sent to my sister this morning breaking up a conversation about how mother in laws are tough to deal with. Neither one of us are really sure why but it always seems like hollywood might have it right, mother in laws are tough! Are wives never good enough in their MIL's eyes? or is it that they want a new friend or daughter and going about it the wrong way? Of course when kids enter the picture things really change and it becomes more like now does she think you aren't a good wife or mom? Both my sister and I think there needs to be a "What to expect when your expecting a Mother in Law" book.
On a lighter note, here is the delicious dinner my hubs made tonight!

Loves: Getting to know me
Typing these words right now I wish I could say my internal voice sounded like Carrie Bradshaw, but instead it is completely my own, meet me! Carrie Becker, same initials, not exactly the same exciting life. Besides completely vomiting myself onto this page, I will just give you the facts- I am the 27 year old mom to a basset hound named Ace E Bear and two boxers, Maddie Mae and Piper (like Madonna, just Piper),- this would be the licks portion of the title. I am married to my college sweetheart, whom I have been with for just about 10 years...yes I am a little old, I work in the completely insane world of flash sale buying for a daily deals site! I buy unbranded super inexpensive fast fashion for women in their 20's, swimwear and activewear. All of which are completely my fashion passions, for lack of a better phrase. I love to make amazing outfits out of literally nothing anyone could ever recognize, hence the non labels portions of my title. And for the loves? Well that is what you will learn about, my marriage, my dogs, my crazy household, my CRAZY job, family, crazy nights, my closet, shopping habits, eating habits and attempt to eat more organic, my fitness and lack there of...and everything else!
I can't say that I will write every day but I will give it my best shot!
XOXO
